They would be generated by you galloping through an area. the would suddenly appear near you, alerted if you approached quickly. For me (as i reloaded if i died) the bears generally kept respawning close to those locations.īears would spawn in one of two ways. It is best if you mark the locations where you encountered the bear. I had my camp saved within walking distance of BOTH bears which made this easier and dying seemed to upset the spawns. IF the bear does kill you, RELOAD the last save and do it again, as the bears will reset. THIS DOES not mean you will find the bear if it spawned far away, but it lets you know if it has because if the bear carcas is still on the map then you haven't waited long enough. If you DO NOT SKIN the bear, the paw print indicating the carrcas will stay on the map UNTIL it respawns. Therefore, if you are killing one and not reseting the full 72, then you may only be killing one at a time while the other resets. So you may need to do another reset of sleep to ensure you wake up in the morning.
There are TWO bear spawns everytime, however, it takes a full 72 hours of sleeping AND you have to wake up in the morning.
